  1. Some cons would be that they might not be as flexible as the younger players. Another con would be that they might have memory loss from being a lot older. Some pros would be that they have more experience with the sport. They could also "coach" some of the other players. Those are the pros and cons of having elderly players on a football team.

  2. Pros and cons of being old is you know the game and strategy to win. Your joints and body don't agree with your thinking. They retire at a young age so that they can go do something else before they get badly injured and can't work at all. The earlier they retire the better the chance of getting a good job that pays but isn't as violent or as active as sports. Another reason they leave at an early age is publicity, when it goes viral a famous athlete has retired every one wants them back, so the pay for them playing goes up, making more profit for the athlete, in one game, the make as much as three. Then they leave for good.

    1. Good choice of pros and cons. They could very easily get money that way, but if every player did that, then they would probably stop doing that.

    2. Good thinking ,but i have to agree with what Ian said. And what if the former athlete did not come back because he did not like that life style. They don't always leave because they are getting older.

    3. I agree because they longer they are in a sport the more likely they are going to get hurt

  3. one pro is they have more experience. a second pro is, that they know how to avoid penalties. then there are the cons. one con is they can get hurt easier, and faster. Another con is that, they fill spots that should be used for other players. ( younger, and better players.)

  4. The cons is that the older athlete might not in the proper physical shape. So the pros would be for he one challenging them would win most likely. A pro would also be you would have more retirement money. A con would be you have more sport related injures than a regular athlete. This are the cons and pros of older athletes.

  5. they retire from sports at a young age because throughout there life there bodes take major beatings. but retiring early is good cause they don't have to worry about sports or money problems and they don't have to get hurt> the reason not to stop is that when you do you never go back and you just sit around at home with nothing to do. also you get out of shape and gain wait and be lazy and they shouldn't stay in cause they are way too old to play

  6. What is good about staying at a sport to an older age is that you can collect more retirement money. The longer you stay in a career the more retirement money you get. For example, if you stay for 4 years you would get a less money if you stayed for 20 years. The bad thing about staying in a sport to an older age you can get hurt more and get worse medical bills. you may spend more money in medical bills that the amount of money you get in your paycheck.

  9. The pros of being an older athlete would be that they already know the game and different strategies but, the cons of being an older athlete is that they can get hurt more easily and could become out of shape. Another pro would be that they could earn more money for doing it longer.

    1. Kaley that is true and a lot of good points and i wouldn't say that they would earn more but i would say that they would defiantly be a high rank than the other players.

  10. The cons that will come on is that the professional athletes may became injured from the stains of the muscles working so hard. Another con may not be able to be as strong, and as fast as they were when they where younger, they can get injured a lot easier. Some pros are that they have more experience about that certain game/sport. They would be great cause they know what they are so posted to do and know how to play. So there are different things that could be pros and cons that fall under this topic.

  11. the pros is that they are more experienced so they know the game better than others. another pro is that they get paid more money than younger players because they are veterans.the cons are that there bodies are all worn out from playing all them years and they are more vulnerable to injuries.

  12. I have wondered if professional athletes tend to retire from sports at relatively young ages. Some pros of older athletes staying in the game is that they will still be strong and muscled. They will get much more money when they're retired, also. Some cons of older athletes' staying in the game are that their bones could break easier. They are also at a much larger risk of heart attack and that could effect them depending how heavy loaded the sport is.

  13. Pros and cons of being old is you know the plays, people, and etc. The earlier they retire, the better the chance of them not getting seriously injured causing them to be cut. Because of retiring at a young age, they can get another job, getting them a fortune of money. Also when they retire at an early age, it goes country-wide "a famous athlete has retired", everyone wants them to play again, so they pay for them so can go play a few more times, making a profit for the athlete. Afterwards, the athlete basically ditches the people and enjoys his life.

    1. thats true because most athletes tend to build up alot of money and then ditch their team and go off to some crazy place and wont sign again

  14. Cons of professional athletes "staying in the game" is they will be old and raggedy so it'll be harder for them to move as fast as they used to. Also they won't be as physically attractive so thats a minus too. Pros of old athletes would they would know all of the rules. Also they have more experience and practice.

  15. The pros of being a retired athlete is that they can be willing to play as a coach for a team because they know all the drills for the sport and know how to handle a team since they used to be on one.The cons of being a retired athlete is the fact they cant play anymore and most sport athletes dont have a second job to go to so they become broke after a good while because they dont know how to manage their money

  16. People are all born different, seeing that people have different body types they can go harder longer. I mean it doesn't matter how old you are if you can play and your body can keep up then you should be able to play. Even if pro players were restricted to a age, they could still help their team.

  17. One pro of an older athlete staying in the game is that they will have more experience than that of a newer player. One con is that they won't be as physical fit as a younger player. Another con is that they might have more joint or back problems. One last con is that their lack of mobility may cost the team (if they are on one) some potential. So in the end it is not really beneficial for a professional athlete to stay in sports when they are older.

  18. The pros are that younger people are more "malleable" than elders. Old people take a lot of risk in being severely injured. Older people would also be more exhausted.

  19. The pros of being a older professional athlete is that you won't have as many health risks as people who don't play sports and don't work out as much as athletes do. You also will be fit and be more energized as other elders.
